Rawcaster uses three different codes to recognize the level each user has with us. Type-N is the default user type for most users. Type-R denotes a premium user status archived through referral. Type-P is a premium user status archived through a paid subscription.

To search for your friends in Rawcaster, type the name of your friend in the “Search Rawcaster” bar on your dashboard. If your friend is not yet in Rawcaster, invite them and you may be upgraded to a premium elite member with access to more features.

Schmoozing is a Rawcaster video conferencing feature that allows each participant to talk to any person of choice in the meeting without being heard by other participants. This feature is ideal in a party setup where you may want to speak to just one or two persons while other participants also speak to any other person of their choice before the party starts. Only premium users have access to this feature.

While every Rawcaster user has access to all basic features (Nugget, Chat, Events), there are a few features that are only accessible to premium members. Premium elite members have access to features such as schmoozing, group chat, breakout room and more.

In a breakout room, sub-events are created, and everyone can hear what anyone is saying. In schmoozing the event is still the same but only specific people chosen by the participant will hear what the other party is saying while the rest of the participants of the same event will not be able to participate in the conversation.

Yes, they will see you, but they won’t hear you. Only your schmoozing partners will hear you.

Yes, you can invite external participants to your Rawcaster event by adding their email address to your invitees list.

A fan is someone that is following you. If you are of influence to anyone, chances are that those people will become your fans. They will become your fan by searching you out in Rawcaster and choosing to be your fan. When you login to Rawcaster, you will be able to see your fans from your profile page. In the profile page of your fans, you will appear in their list of Influencers. To be a fan of someone, search for the user and select the option “become a fan”.

An Influencer in Rawcaster is anyone whose lifestyle, social status, attitude or position is considered of positive influence to someone. As an Influencer, those who you influence, will become your fans and you can see a total number of your fans in your profile page. You can send a Nugget to your fans. You can also organize an event just for your fans. Those who you influence, will search for you in Rawcaster and choose to become your fan. That is how you become their influencer. You can use any method at your disposal, including posting great Nuggets, to encourage people to become your fans.

To host an event for your Fans, go to the “Schedule Event” feature, select Event Type “Fans”. After your event schedule is completed, the event will be published on your fans' dashboard and they will be notified through their preferred notification method. Only your fans will be able to join this type of event.

Some meetings may automatically mute your audio or video when you enter, or you may have accidentally clicked the wrong icon. If the camera icon in the chat program is muted, you can click on the camera icon to enable it. If your webcam lens is covered for privacy, uncover it and you should become visible to other participants. Other cause could be that you selected a wrong video camera device from the list of video/audio devices detected by the program.

In Rawcaster, participants cannot unmute themselves if muted by the host. This is done to allow the host to set the level of distraction the meeting can tolerate. Once enabled, you can mute and unmute yourself at will.

You should have the icon “New Event" at the bottom right corner of your desktop or at the top right corner of the app when you browse to Events icon.
